A high caliber network of health care providers exists in Jasper County led by Jasper County Hospital and including private practice physicians, clinics, pharmacies, and physical and mental health agencies.  This network is supplemented by nearby world-class health care institutions located in Chicago and northwest Indiana, the Lafayette area, and in Indianapolis.

In fact, Jasper County Hospital recently completed a $17 million expansion and modernization of its medical treatment capabilities.  Project highlights include a 26,750 sq. ft. addition to the existing 93,350 sq. ft. hospital building, the addition of four new operating rooms, a larger post-operative recovery area, a fixed-base MRI, and enlargement of the outpatient services area.

Regional Attractions

The world renowned Jasper–Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area encompasses over 8,062 magnificent acres of wetlands, uplands, and woodland game habitat available for exceptional hunting and fishing experiences.  A highlight of the preserve is the annual migratory stopover of more than 10,000 Sandhill Cranes each Fall.

Fair Oaks Farms is a real country experience the whole family will enjoy.  Located on I-65 at Exit 220, the attraction provides an exciting, fun-filled look at state-of-the-art dairy farming at its best.  Visit the Dairy Adventure, a Birthing Barn, a Cheese Factory, and the Restaurant and Gift Shop.  Browse a collection of educational exhibits, view a one-of-a-kind 4D movie experience, and tour one of the largest working dairies in the country.  Opening this summer is the new Fair Oaks Pig Adventure hog farm experience!

Two outstanding golf venues – Curtis Creek Country Club and Sandy Pines Golf Club – are located in Jasper County.  For lodging needs, visitors to Jasper County can benefit from the county’s 231 hotel and bed & breakfast rooms.

The Jasper County Public Library serves the citizens and businesses of Jasper County through beautiful branch library facilities located in DeMotte, Rensselaer and Wheatfield.  Their mission is to inform, enrich and empower by providing quality, accessible services.  The Town of Remington and surrounding Carpenter Township is served by the Remington Carpenter Township Public Library.
