Jasper County Economic Development and Tourism Commission Seeks Dynamic Tourism and Community Development Coordinator

Jasper County Economic Development (JCEDO) and Jasper County Tourism Commission (JCTC) announced an exceptional opportunity for a driven individual to join our team as a Tourism and Community Development Coordinator. The role will play a pivotal part  in enhancing tourism and quality of life while driving forward economic growth.

As an evolving county, Jasper County offers a unique blend of agricultural heritage, historical significance, and cultural richness. Jasper County features outdoor recreational and agritourism activities, charming small towns, and captivating art, making it an increasingly popular destination.

The Tourism and Community Development Coordinator will be responsible for spearheading initiatives aimed at promoting Jasper County as a destination while fostering sustainable economic development within our communities.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to attract visitors to Jasper County. This will include: leveraging digital platforms, traditional media, and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborating with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to create compelling tourism experiences and enhance visitor satisfaction.
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for community development projects that align with Jasper County’s economic growth objectives.
• Serving as a liaison between the tourism industry, local government, and community groups to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities for advancement.
• Grant administration, promotion and evaluation.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a passion for tourism, community development, economic revitalization, and grant administration, along with exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Previous experience in tourism marketing, event planning, grant writing, or community outreach is highly desirable.
