JCEDO Welcomes Economic Development Assistant & Office Administrator 

Jasper County Economic Development Organization (JCEDO) has hired Krystal Bassett as the new Economic Development Assistant and Office Administrator. Krystal officially began her role on October 27, 2025. 

We are thrilled to have Krystal come on board with JCEDO,” said Sara DeYoung, Executive Director of JCEDO. “Her experience and passion for community and economic development are assets that will be extremely beneficial to the organization as we expand our outreach and impact. I feel we are building a team that will build up Jasper County’s communities, resources, and businesses.” 

In her position, Krystal supports the organization’s mission to foster economic growth, strengthen community partnerships, and enhance the quality of life throughout Jasper County. She provides key administrative leadership while assisting with development initiatives, outreach efforts, and day-to-day operations that help drive the county forward. 

Krystal brings a strong background in organization, communication, and community-focused service. Her passion for supporting local growth and her attention to detail make her an asset to the JCEDO team. She is committed to helping businesses thrive while contributing to Jasper County’s continued success and vitality. Krystal’s enthusiasm for community development, combined with her dedication to family and local engagement, reflects the values that drive Jasper County forward.

Outside of her professional role, Krystal is deeply rooted in family and community life. She lives in Morocco, Indiana, with her husband, Kole, and their two children, Ryker (6) and Raelynn (4). She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing, cruising country roads, and riding RZRs with family and close friends. Krystal is also the founder of a passion project, Blessed Mama Boutique, where she channels her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
