JCEDO Announces Departure of Community and Economic Development Operations Manager

Jasper County Economic Development (JCEDO) regretfully announces the departure of Zyan Miller, the Community and Economic Development Operations Manager, effective March 1, 2024. Miller has decided to pursue new opportunities in economic development, and while her departure is a loss for JCEDO, the organization extends its best wishes for her future endeavors.

During her tenure at JCEDO, Miller has been instrumental in spearheading numerous initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and community development within Jasper County. This included the Façade Improvement Grant for the city of Rensselaer, the Jasper County Mural Tour, Jasper County High School Industry Days and numerous Jasper County Career Fairs. JCEDO Executive Director, Sara DeYoung, said Miller’s dedication, innovative approach, and strategic vision have significantly contributed to the advancement of the region’s economic landscape.

“Zyan is dedicated, detail oriented and visionary. She will continue to make a difference in the area for community and economic development. We are disappointed to not share an office with her, but grateful that she will continue to be a colleague in this industry. She is an asset to Jasper County and the region as a whole, personally and professionally.”

JCEDO remains committed to its mission of driving economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of Jasper County. The organization will begin the process of searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Community and Economic Development Operations Manager, ensuring continuity in its efforts to promote sustainable growth and development.
